  MAND Site is open to the public and has a visitors center manned on a daily basis.
  Interpretive signs are amply placed on the battlefield. 
  Interpretive brochures and/or audio tapes are available on site.  Trails are well marked and
critical areas of the battlefield are adequately preserved to allow for interpretation.
NBVC Site is open to the public.  No visitor's center is present.  Site is rarely or never manned by
guides to provide interpretive assistance.  Interpretive signs are amply placed on the site.
Interpretive brochures and/or audio tapes are available on site.  Trails are well marked and
critical areas of the battlefield are adequately preserved to allow for interpretation.
NINT Site is open to the public.  No interpretive signs or brochures are available on site.
RSTA Site has restrictive access. 
INAC Site is privately owned, is inaccessible, or lacks any remaining historical integrity.

C. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Encroachment:  Please select the one choice below that best describes the current conditions regarding
the position of the battlefield relative to residential, commercial, or industrial development in its surrounding area.

  PRIS Pristine site, completely separated from development with undeveloped land on all
  perimeters. Distance to nearest development is greater than 1 mile.
 
UNDV Relatively undeveloped area, with small development areas within 1 mile but unobtrusive
to the battlefield site.  No significant detrimental interpretation impact from surrounding area.
DEVP Developed area, with residential or commercial sites bordering battlefield.  No significant
industrial development present.  Site interpretation is partially hampered due to development
imposition on site lines, noise levels, traffic, etc.  Negative ongoing impact of development
is likely.
SIGD Significantly developed area that is in ongoing stages of further development that will
likely significantly deter or eliminate future historical interpretation of this site.
ENCR Site lacks any remaining historical integrity due to encroaching development.
